Pelikan Art Competition

Date: 11th – 13th May 2012.

Location: Samaj School

The Pelikan Art Competition will create awareness of the different Pelikan products. Different schools in Nairobi will take part in the competition. This is to enable the children sample the Pelikan Art products as well as encourage creativity. This years theme will be “ Live your dream” The finals will take place in Samaj School on the 12th of May.
 
GEHA Exhibition

Date: 28th – 29th April 2012.

Location: Sarit Centre

The exhibition will be to create awareness and market the GEHA products. GEHA products range from CD-R/DVDS, Laminating Machine, Geha Laminating Pouches, GEHA Shredders to GEHA Projectors/Tables respectively.

Title: Dr. Orero’s book signing

Partners: Dr. Charles Wachunnah Orero

Dr. Charles Orero is currently an Assistant Commissioner with the Kenya Revenue Authority. In His Book- Pride in Knowledge a Kenyan Experience Dr. Orero tells us about the story of his life, how he overcame a myriad of challenges ranging from a poor background to a hectic job, and numerous family responsibilities to achieve his dream. The Book does not only encourage those who dream big, but also initiate a dialogue that compels people to revisit their role in improving people’s lives. This book calls on managers who value integrity and total quality management to make these two concepts part of their organization culture. The event was a success and his book is available in all Text Book Centre branches.
 
Celebrating Women’s Day

Date: 8th March 2012

Location: TBC Junction & Sarit

As the nation celebrated and honored women, Text Book Centre was not left behind in appreciating the Kenyan Woman. TBC participated by offering discounts on selected books like; Unbowed by Wangari Mathai, Fighting without Ceasing by Muthoni Likimani to mention but a few. This was in an effort to promote Kenyan female writers who have become role models for many women. The books were creatively displayed on the windows and a nicely done graphic prepared. This was to attract the customers into the shop to sample out these plus other products. This saw an increase of traffic into the shop.

The book What Is True Love tries to help the reader grasp the different aspects of Love like understanding who a soul mate is, how to love and maintain your soul mate and how to nurture this love.
