Groping in the dark is set in atypical Sukuma environment. The sociological problems confronting the protagonists though reflecting the tribal set up go far beyond to bring out in a realistic way, issues that confront our youth, through faulty educational systems, religious fanatism and lack of clear goals. They nearly all end up crushed because they lack a clear sight and proper understanding of the world they live in. They are groping in the dark
