Biko is nothing short of the modern day superb writer. We wish he'd have sequel on his books. Can't wait to find out what Jared will do to Mwendwa. Oooh and Thando, I hope she won't dissipate. Looking forward to a continuation of Thursday. Vina wira must re-unite. Impeccable read.

I do not know where to start with this. It has been a while since a local book captivated me as much as this one did. "Thursdays" is not your typical book addressing the contemporary political context and recounting history with pretty words. It talks about Mental Health and not as a way of cushioning any harsh truths about reality but as a primary focus of its own. The language used is not as formal as you would expect of a novel but its uniqueness adds to its relatability. It feels like it would in a conversation. That 3D effect of you being attached and involved with the characters just as much as the characters are involved with you. I will definitely recommend it to a friend.
