Lunch with the FT: A Second Helping


Alongside the colour pink and the Lex column, Lunch with the FT is an indelible part of the Financial Times. Over 25 years, the formula has remained deceptively simple: a conversation-cum-interview over an agreeable lunch. The location is chosen by the guest: some plump for Michelin-starred restaurants, some open the doors to the company canteen, and some even prepare their own picnics. By the end of each meal, we have been privy to our guest’s ideas and temperaments, occasionally encouraged by a glass or two of wine.

Lunch is an opportunity for fine food, but above all fine writing. Our gastronomic guests have included many world leaders, as well as other men and women of renown in business, finance, and the arts and entertainment worlds.
