Masai Dreaming
A tale of deception, misunderstanding, and betrayal set between 1990s Africa and Nazi-occupied France.Haunted by his dreams of the Masai, Tim Curtiz journeys to East Africa to research his latest screenplay. In the land of his childhood, he wants to learn about the enigmatic Claudia Cohn-Casson, a French anthropologist who studied the Masai in the late 1930s. He knows that on her return to Paris, she was deported with her family to Auschwitz, but the closer Tim comes to discovering the ‘real’ Claudia, the more he struggles to capture the pain and ambiguity of her past.
