Ouka finally pounced on Awiti with all the pent-up fury. Her resistance confounded him. He had taken it for granted that he would merely grab her, pin her down and beat her into submission. He was wrong. In that sinewy and bony frame was stored an amazing amount of strength. She bundled him up like a light load, pinned him against the wall for some time and finally threw him to the ground. He felt completely exhausted, humiliated and utterly helpless.
